Training Your Dog With Wireless Pet Containment Systems
Kinds of Dog Containment Systems
These systems can be either electronic wired or wireless.
The wired pet containment system constitutes a transmitter and a collar. An
in-ground, invisible fence can easily be installed using the transmitter, wire
and a collar. The transmitter is then placed anywhere near the wiring, and thus
the circle is completed and ready to detect the dog's collar. Activated by
either a rechargeable battery or an electric unit, the pet containment system
warns your dog with a sound when he is about to go out of the boundary. If the
dog tries to cross the invisible fence, even after being warned, then a mild and
harmless static electric shock will be administered through the collar.
The wireless system is similar, but it requires none of the annoying wiring. All
dog containment systems come with a DVD with instructions on how to install it,
as well as how to use the system effectively for training your dog.
Advantages of Pet Containment Systems
Not only you get to set the exact limits of your dog's movements, but you also
keep him from running into hazards, like running cars. In addition, you can
forget about the problems caused when your dog runs after guests or strangers,
and if you live in an open area, it won't be able to wander off and get lost.
Compared with electrical fences, containment systems are cheaper and more
effective.
It also takes very little time and training to get results. You can also have
the pet containment system adopt any form that is appropriate for your property
very easily. Trenches and pits in the yard are no longer necessary.
Any number of dogs can be contained with the help of single pet containment
system. Your dog and your guests will be safe, even if you're not home.
