The Innotek Bark Collar: Its Advantages

While your dog can be your best friend, he can also be a noisy nuisance. Barking at innapropiate times, like at night, can be corrected with the use of the Innotek Bark Collar.

If you need a training collar for your dog, you can get one of the many models that Innotek produces. Innotek has collars for small dogs, collars for medium dogs, and collars for large dogs. Depending upon your preference, there are two basic types of collar. People prefer the version that can detect the vibrations that barking causes and then deliver a small static discharge to the dog's neck.

Using their own patented system, some Innotek bark collars are able to recognise the best level of discouragement (by way of a tiny static shock) for your dog. The collar has sevel levels of intensity, and it comes preset at the lowest one, so that the intensity can be increased until the dog stops barking. When this happens, the collar will set itself at that intensity and won't go up anymore. Some Innotek bark collars work with an even wider range of intensity levels.

By using the collar at the times when your dog is most likely to be a nuisance, you can soon train your dog not to bark – using the collar for more than half an hour or so a day is generally not recommended because a dog that is not allowed to bark at all can become neurotic.

Another type of Innotek bark collar uses a spray to confuse the dog and stop the barking that way. The type that delivers the static shock is perfectly harmless, but some people object to them. The collars that produce a spray (usually a lemon/citrus smell) instead of a static shock work in the same way except the spray confuses the dog and stops the barking by encouraging the dog’s curiosity about where the smell came from.

Every Innotek bark collar comes with a small instruction manual that will teach you how to train your dog in a safe way that will eliminate excessive barking.

In Conclusion: This was just a small introduction to Innotek bark collars. It also lets you know about alternate types of Innotek collars. The general conclusion is that these collars are very effective at what they do.

The Innotek bark collar is one of the most effective ways to stop excessive barking. Some people think the shock version is not ethical. That is not true, but there is an Innotek bark collar that involves spraying instead.
